Virgin Earth
Just 350km from Cape Town lies the smallest ward recognised by the Wine & Spirits board, and home to Virgin Earth Wines, the Langeberg Garcia. The farm was named Virgin Earth because it was carved from the foothills of the mountain by the current owners - no other agriculture has ever been practiced here, making Virgin Earth wines unique. Of the 12 000 hectares of farmland, only 26 is planted under vine, with the rest being devoted to a game farm.
