This Lazanou wine underwent cold maceration for 24 hours, extracting and adding the delicious tannins and rich colour of this award winning Syrah. The 20 months of maturation in French Oak has aged this vintage superbly, adding to the rich texture and sweet tannin finish of this elegant red wine. Lazanou’s 2011 Syrah is a full-bodied, smoky wine that shoots out of the glass and punches you in the nose. A bold wine that can hold up to intense smoked flavours like slow roasted pork and steaks, and compliments even Vegetarian dishes like smoked seitan steaks.
