I wash my body, face and hair with it and my hair comes out soft, clean and shiny even without any form of conditioner.
I still use this body wash because I haven't found any other product that is as pure / simple as this + with it's current price range + allowing me to have a face, body and hair wash in one.
I also love the smell of this one the most out of all of the Earthsap body washes I've tried - it has a light vanilla / rose feminine smell to it.
When I had short hair it would sometimes last me up to 3 months -

To me it just doesnt smell like much at all and is a bit wishy-washy. I prefer the smell of the peppermint and tea tree I purchased for my hubby. Of course there will be sacrifices well need to make in order to be green. Its not full of thickening agents. Its not full of artificial fragrances. This product is biodegradable, non-toxic, and smells amazing in my opinion! The slightly runny soap is well worth it if it means not letting toxins out into the environment (especially in Cape Town, where our untreated water and waste goes straight out into our ocean!). Also, its made locally, so less of a carbon footprint than imported items. I do like this shower gel (I love all the Earthsap ones I have tried) and mine does smell like roses and not aniseed as another reviewer has posted. However, there is not much vanilla scent. I like the rose scent, but I wish there was some more vanilla in there too.
I have realised that depending on which batch your bottle came from, the scent changes. I found that with one of my shampoos.
