Im not sure why as honey and milk should not have much of a smell, it may be the Shea butter? I have dry skin and my skin feels very nourished and hydrated once applied and rubbed in. To be honest, the lotion does not absorb easily however this is a minor quibble as considering that its all natural together with the price, it is excellent value for money!
