I used it to make my own chocolate together with Cacao Paste. Also used it in baking as a butter substitute. Great for dairy free baking but as it contains less moisture you will need to reduce the amount by 15% and replace that amount with water in your recipe.
This is also the best product to thin chocolate for dipping!06/10/2015, By AdeleGreat for making your own health bars and I have also used it to make body butters, scrubs and soap alternatives. Sublime!20/11/2014, By SaskiaThe cocoa butter is great together with raw cocoa powder (and dates and nuts, etc.) to make your own chocolates. I recommend to buy the 1kg bag as it is better value for money. From the small bag I only get two loads of chocolate before its up. I recommend this for all the vegans and parents who want to give their kids a healthy treat.
Heres my choc recipe:
Melt cocoa butter together with dates (dried or fresh) in the pan. When cocoa butter is melted add to nuts in blender. Blend and put into bottom of cupcake tray. Youll get nice coin shaped chocolates.
I often add dried cranberries and buckwheat (after blending) for a crunchy taste.
You can use any nuts you like, I use cashews and almonds, but pistachios and macademias are also lovely depending on the flavor you want. If you soak the nuts for a night before blending you will get a nougat texture chocolate.
For added protein I add hemp seeds or even a little chocolate pea protein powder. You can also add macha root powder and so on.
