If you've had braces, the consistency is similar to the teeth mold they use (this is back in 2005, I don't know what they use now). Brush your teeth first and try to not let it touch your tongue and then at the end brush your gums and tongue and rinse. This works for me and has made the transition quite easy. I genuinely love this product and support the brand.
