The handle is sturdy, easy to hold and super smooth (no fear of splinters getting in my palm). Having come from a super-soft bristle toothbrush (plastic!!!), the transition to medium bristles has been a slight process, but (because of the stronger bristles) my teeth are cleaning with such ease, now! Next, I'll buy the soft bristled version of this brush. There's no way I'm going back to plastic. This toothbrush is fantastic.
