I was surprised at its balm like consistency. Its quite hard so I usually scrape some out with my nail and then spread a pea sized amount between my hands to heat it up so that it can apply easier and more evenly. It doesn't dry and can be shiny so it's best to keep a special pillow case in case of any transference and to only use it at night. It is very hydrating and does leave your skin feeling soft. I love all of SKOON's natural fragrances, its never overwhelming though. Sometimes I leave it on for a few hours and remove it before bed as I personally don't like the feeling of it on my face when my face touches with pillow. Great product but I find that they are becoming a bit pricey!
