I added lemon and it was well improved. I've also diluted it with a stevia sweetened rooibos ice tea and that made it very tasty. I've heard great things about this herb so I will continue to find tasteful ways of using this tea before I switch to pills because it's preferable to me not to use synthetic vegetarian capsules in my diet. I'll review again after a month or so to share any noticeable benefits. I can tell though by the bitterness that it's more than likely going to prove itself very beneficial. I'm using it to improve liver and digestive function (I have gallstones and ibs) and alleviate mild anxiety.30/05/2018, By ShannonI live with a PhD botanist who swears by this plant. I started drinking kankerbos (Sutherlandia) tea this year and have not been sick once! It apparently also increases natural serotonin production. I generally get flu (badly) at least a few times a year but I truly feel this plant has helped me through.
I have occasionally been able to find it at better prices than this and hope FTN finds a few more suppliers but I would definitely recommend integrating this into the medicine cabinet. One of the best kept secrets around.
Can be consumed daily, 1 tsp after meals, but don't take it in the evening because it can keep you awake. Also the taste is AWFUL at first but I swear you get used to it- it's worth it.
