For what it costs though, I struggle to see what makes it a cut above cheaper blenders other than marketing. I would have expected glass containers rather than plastic and thought it would be able to do more, eg, grind dry nuts and seeds into powders, make hummus and pastes. I tried to make date balls and had to add far too much liquid for it to work.
Because it's plastic, I would be reluctant to use it with hot foods like soup. My mom has a glass jug blender and food processor that we have been using for years and it works great. I wouldn't advise getting this is you're after an all-round food processor (which is what I would want as a student with limited space). Light and easily transportable though!
