Food and Trees for South Africa is the first and only national, public benefit, civil society greening and food gardening organisation in SA addressing climate change. It all started in 1990 when a group of concerned individuals, representing the major greening organisations in South Africa, came together with the realisation that the real environmental crisis in this country centred on people and uplifting quality of life and addressing climate change. They recognized that a simple way of achieving this was through the greening of these unhealthy, denuded and degraded landscapes. This was the birth of Food & Trees for Africa (FTFA), the first (and still only) national non-government, non-profit, greening organisation in South Africa.

Our strict ingredient policy means that you can always shop according to your values. Every item on FtN is checked to be better for the environment, socially responsible, good for you and free from toxic ingredients.
