For a Front Loader just one Ball. For hard water areas use 1/5 of the recommended washing powder..
Add 1 or 2 tablespoons of Bicarbonate of Soda to every load.
Once a month put your ball into sunlight to regenerate the ceramic micro balls.

It cleans your laundry thoroughly and leaves it with a fresh scent. It also really makes the colours of your clothes brighter, maintains their fibres, makes the clothes softer and your white colours much whiter. I have washed so far 5 times in total with it and can see a tremendous difference! Don't be afraid to wash your towels or even mats with it! It will only be a success! I've tried it and I couldn't believe how clean they were coming out!

I was really hoping it would replace chemical laundry liquids, but sadly it leaves stains on my bedding, even after soaking in oxygen bleach overnight. Maybe its ok for dark colours, but not bedding/ heavy duty stains. Will have to go back to liquid detergents04/12/2017, By RuthI am so impressed with this thing! All our clothes are even cleaner than when we used detergent. There are no fragrances or residues that can irritate our skins. And over the long run it is much much cheaper than buying detergent.
I am a little bit concerned because it says on the box it contains an antibiotic, as antibiotic resistance is a growing problem.15/11/2017, By MarietaI must say I am quite impressed and did not think that a ball can clean a load of washing. Although I found that I have to add some extra water to the cycle of the load. I noticed that when a do the cycle as normal, that there is a bit of a smell that stays behind in the washing machine it self and also sometimes the clothes are not as clean. However, now that I came here to write the review, I see that I didn't follow the instruction on cleaning the washing machine first and washing with cold water only... these instructions weren't on the box. The best feature is that there is no detergent being used which omits the need for the rinse cycles, which drastically reduces water use per wash. Great for Cape Town's water crisis. However, I think it was designed for spinning washing machines. In my toploader machine it drops to the bottom and stays there. I have to manually lift it to the top again and shake it around in the washing. Maybe you can come up with say a set of three smaller, lighter laundry balls which will be able to circulate in a toploader machine?07/03/2017, By annettaI needed a phosphate free product that could wash in cold water. The Smart Kleen Laundry ball works beautifully - from our delicate work clothes to our grubby gardening clothes to our Egyptian cotton linen. I then tried the dogs bedding. We have several dog zones containing continental pillows and cotton bedding. All bedding and pillow cases are changed weekly. The Smart Kleen laundry ball washed everything fresh and clean with no doggy odour or dog hair, in COLD water! I love this product.
