In fact I purchased another one of antonia’s products (mock Parmesan) and the nutritional information didn’t add up either. Would appreciate if they would label their products appropriately because they could make someone really sick. Having said that I won’t be purchasing again on principle. This product has a real coconutty flavour which might be off-putting to some. It doesn't stick to the pallet either as other saturated plant lipids do which I really like. Works well with coconut sugar as a substitute for icing sugar and I plan to use it in dairy-free desserts such as cheesecake due to its firmness when chilled. *fast forward a few months* this butter that had been totally forgotten about at the back of a cupboard (where it had been banished in frustration) is rediscovered in the middle of summer .... and its a whole new world!
I put a generous spoonful in half a jar of water and shook it up to make some coconut milk - it is mind-blowingly creamy!
So you can safely ignore the keep refrigerated suggestion on the bottle unless you want to store it for an extended time, I can vouch that this stuff is still kiefies when left out the fridge for months12/11/2015, By Angelinedelicious on everything!
