Directions:
- Chia can be added to smoothies, date balls, snack bars, or poke bowls for powerful nutrition punch
- It's not necessary to soak chia seeds, but doing so can help maximize the bioavailability.
- Chia absorbs water very quickly, so for this reason they make an ideal addition to smoothies and poke bowls.
- When added to date balls or snack bars chia add an appealing crunch to the texture, as well as protein, fibre, and minerals.
To use chia as an egg-replacer: To replace 1 egg, use 1 tablespoon of chia seeds mixed with 3 tablespoons of water and let the mixture sit for 15 to 20 minutes until it becomes gelatinous.

Simple enough to make and i think the liquid you use may make a difference - im still experimenting. When they swell up, they remind me of tomato pips - you know with like a puffy film around the pip. The whole mixture was kind of gooey. I made a liquid of milk, coconut milk, vanilla and xylitol. It was a great snack when i felt like something sweet. Added some butter and heated it up on cold night and almost like sago. Also I believed that being packed in a 1kg package that the product might be cheaper: 1st locally grown and then less packaging cost, I did not found it more economic. Our family eats Chia every single day, so price and quality are very important. We found the Chia seeds excellent.
