I tried this as an alternative to chia seeds. I definitely prefer the texture of chia seeds, but this is great because it has the additional benefit of Omegas from flax seed.

I used to make overnight chia pudding for the next morning but have converted to this as I can make it and eat it in a couple of minutes instead of the next morning.. Makes awesome, healthy breakfast porridge. It becomes very gummy though, if you can live with the texture then you'll love it!
