As the previous reviewer said, they are a bit rough and the fluff from the cotton bag I keep it in sticks to the ends.
The description says that the straw is 1 cm wide. I received one 1 cm wide (smoothie width) and one smaller, although the barcode on both boxes were the same. The width is also not consistent throughout each individual straw.
I don't use straws often, so for my purposes this works as a backup straw in my handbag for the odd cordial or ice-coffee. I've used the larger straw for a smoothie, and it washes well but it does have a wet bamboo taste.06/06/2018, By FairynuffIt's a straw and will work as one. It is also the least expensive of the re-usable straws available.
However, I have been reluctant to even try it. It is very thick, and a greenish colour which is a bit off-putting. The inside is rough, which makes me worry about it absorbing liquids. Although the outside is polished smooth, this smoothness stops just short of the ends of the straw.
