They form a layer and wash off in the shower the following morning. It's perfect for Winter months and ppl with very dry skin. I have used prescribed creams and tried all the ridiculously expensive big brands to try help ease my pain and hands down, nothing has ever worked half as well as this product! I received it as a free sample and was pleasantly shocked by the results. I use it one or two times a day at most and it keeps my broken, sore dry skin at bay. No other cream has ever worked so fast or had such great results that last!
