Even though it had been a hot day, and I'd perspired a lot, my underarms still smelt clean, although not much of a scent was left. But the clean smell is most important. I found that it did not have the same "grainy" feel on my fingers, that I'd experienced with another sodium bicarbonate-based deodorant, which is another plus for me. I also usually have problems with natural deodorants burning my underarms but have had no issues with this one. I used to make my own but often would have one good batch and one bad batch, etc. The consistency was hard to master. I don't know how, but Earth's Ant has perfected the recipe and it's worth it to me to pay the cost. Also, a little goes a long way so your jar should last you quite a while. I even tried diluting it with coconut oil which lessened the burn a bit. It also scarred my skin. The wild rose seems to last all day, even on really hot days, but this one only seems to last a few hours in the heat in terms of deodorant capability.
