I use a small ravelling bottle to mix up half the mixture and apply it with the bottle; I also use snug fitting disposable latex gloves - these combined enable minimal messiness during application. Theyve designed it so that you don have to use all of it in one go, which is fantastic. You get up to 2 applications out of one box. I would recommend that when colouring for the first time, use the entire amount - after that, for touch-ups, I use half. The colour is beautiful.
