You absolutely can’t beat value for money when it comes to these carriers, I have used mine from3/4 months until my eldest was 3yrs old! They are very comfortable. There’s only one way I think they could be improved and that is with a little padding where the baby’s legs go, perhaps the deluxe carrier has that (I’ve never tried one) but otherwise very functional and we have hiked for hours with our baby’s in these carriers with no complaints from them or us and no pressure marks or anything.04/12/2017, By LornaI love my ABC! I love the red shweshwe fabric. Baby (actually toddler) goes to sleep nicely in it. We've worn it on the front and the back.
I have tried a Boba (overseas brand) and this is very similar, and certainly as good quality.

The African Baby carrier is beautifullyl made and I am very excited to test it out on our baby which will be out in January 2016... The material and quality of the design is outstanding and I totally love that it was made in SA!
I can tell it was made with love.03/08/2014, By kayI like baby carriers a lot and have been using carrier since my baby was born. He is 9 months now and I use my Africa carrier a lot. For reference as well as this I own an Ergo Carrier, a Moby Wrap and a Jeep carrier.
I used my Africa carrier from about 3 months and I can wear it comfortably for about 2-3 hours at a time. It distributes the weight of the baby comfortably. It is easy to get the baby in and out of as well.
I read it can be worn on the back but I haven tied that option yet. I will do as my baby gets older however.
Another thing to mention is I can breastfeed very discreetly while my baby is in this carrier - people don even notice.
Friends of mine have reported having trouble sitting down while wearing their baby but I do not have that problem at all.
This carrier is most like the Ergo but a lot less money.
